Everglades Action Day | Audubon

On April 8, the Everglades Coalition hosted Everglades Action Day at Florida’s State Capitol. Audubon Florida staff in attendance included Senior Director of Policy Beth Alvi, Policy Associate Caitlin Newcamp, and Executive Director Julie Wraithmell.

Meeting up with students from the Conservation Leadership Initiative, members of chapters in and near the Everglades, and other partners, our team gathered in Tallahassee to meet with key House and Senate members and leadership to advocate for funding and highlight the importance of Everglades restoration to the state.

In all, participants reached 60 legislative offices during this day of action.
