Join the Building Resilience Lobby Day! Speak Up for Climate & Community Justice

As utility bills spike and heat waves, wildfires, and extreme weather grow more intense, Oregonians are left less resilient, healthy, and safe. We must act in the short term to get utility rate hikes under control, and in the long term to help people make upgrades to homes and buildings that lower bills, improve energy efficiency, and make our communities safer. To make this a reality, we’re hosting face-to-face meetings with your lawmakers in their offices in Salem, next month!

Join [your org name] and our partners for the Building Resilience Lobby Day at the State Capitol on Wednesday, May 7. Together, we’ll talk to legislators in Salem and push for bold action on climate, energy-efficient housing, and energy justice.

RSVP TO OUR MAY 7th LOBBY DAY!

As a member of the Building Resilience coalition, Climate Solutions is one of 50+ organizations working to ensure Oregon state lawmakers are passing laws to make our homes healthier, energy bills fairer, and communities more resilient to the climate crisis. Our Lobby Day will connect you with lawmakers to make policy personal.

Building Resilience Community Lobby Day

Wednesday, May 7
RSVP by Wednesday, April 30

Oregon State Capitol, Salem
Lunch and Breakfast Provided

9AM – 5PM

We’ll set up the meetings, provide training and talking points, and partner you with others in your district for conversations with your lawmakers. Join us, alongside Building Resilience, to make the case for:

  • One Stop Shop 2.0 (HB 3081) to help people find, apply for, and benefit from home energy rebates with live local support.
  • Get the Junk Out of Rates (SB 88) so things like expensive lawyers, lobbyists, and advertising fees come out of utility company profits and not our pockets.
  • Full Funding For Current Programs (state budget) like Community Resilience Hubs and heat pump incentive programs – especially for renters, rural households, and communities hit hardest by the climate crisis. These programs are nearly out of funding and are proven to improve health, cut climate pollution, and help people stay housed by lowering the cost of living.

Lawmakers want to hear directly from the people they represent. Whether you’ve done this before or are brand new to advocacy, you’ll be part of a strong team making a real impact.

Register for the Building Resilience Lobby Day on May 7 to fight for a future where everyone thrives. Your voice could be the one that changes votes – and changes lives!

See you in Salem,
