Speak Up for Clean Air in Oregon!

Dear *|FNAME|* ,

You can see it and smell it when a big truck passes you on the highway or in our neighborhood—diesel truck pollution is a daily reality for Oregonians. Here in Oregon, 19 of 36 counties have diesel pollution high enough to increase your lifetime risk for cancer. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Clean, quiet, zero-emission trucks are hitting the road, protecting our health and our climate. This month, state regulators are accepting public comment and holding a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Advanced Clean Truck (ACT) and Heavy-Duty Omnibus (HDO) rules. We need your help to express support for these rules, which have faced legislative and other attacks in recent months.

How You Can Help:

📢 Testify at the Public Hearing – April 17 at 6 PM via Zoom

📞 Dial-in: 888 475 4499
📅 Meeting ID: 863 6333 0868
🔐 Passcode: 993906

Talking points:
Don’t Delay: Protect Air Quality, Climate Action, and Economic Opportunity—Stay the course in implementing the proposed ACT and HDO rules for community benefit.
Support DEQ’s rulemaking and Uphold Oregon’s Clean Trucks Rule—Don’t let manufacturers off the hook for cleaning up toxic diesel pollution in our communities.
Strengthen the Proposed Rules—Rely on data and analysis to decide which segments of the trucking industry to award free credits, stop harmful sale practices designed to create conflict, and ensure truck makers continue to increase zero-emission truck sales every year!

Your voice is essential. Be heard today:

Tell regulators that you support the proposed clean truck rules as a crucial step towards a healthier, more sustainable transportation system.

Thank you for taking action,
