Stop utility companies from charging YOU for their lobbyists and lawyers

You’ve heard a lot from us this session about the need to protect Oregonians from rising utility bills through a sweeping Energy Affordability package. Our utility bills are paying for things like expensive lawyers, lobbyists, marketing, and industry association fees, adding up tomillions of dollars of “junk” on our utility bills yearly.

That’s why a key component of the Energy Affordability Package, SB 88, “Get the Junk Out of Rates, is focused on holding large utility companies accountable. Can we count on you to contact your lawmakers to support this bill?

Make Your Voice Heard

Oregon’s largest for-profit utilities have raised customers’ bills by about 50% in four years. Cutting unnecessary charges from our utility bills is an easy way for state leaders to deliver relief to families struggling with rising costs. Please make your voice heard, {{FirstName or ‘friend’}}, to get the junk out of our rates!

 Make Your Voice Heard

We can protect our families and budgets by transitioning to affordable clean energy, upgrading energy efficiency, and holding large utility companies accountable. Climate Solutions and the Building Resilience coalition are working to pass proposals to help keep utility bills manageable for Oregonians.

Oregonians need healthy, affordable homes that run on clean energy. We will get there by putting people over profit to ensure clean, affordable energy for all.

Onward,
